A. sanguinolentus is a south-eastern species that probably exists on all 
decent-sized heathlands in Sussex. My opinion is that it breeds mainly in 
birch stumps.

Whether or not it should be demoted to Notable B status is a good question 
because I've recorded it in quite a few places in recent years.
